高雄港燈塔(cn)Taiwan / Kaohsiung_Shih / Kaohsiung (高雄市)house, lighthouse, light高雄燈塔 塔高：15.2公尺 燈高：58.2公尺 公稱光程：25.2浬 高雄燈塔(俗稱旗后燈塔)，位於高雄港旗后山山頂。 高雄燈塔建於高雄市港口旗后山山頂，高雄此名乃日本人佔據台灣後以原名打狗譯音而來。前清時代將打狗闢為通商口岸後因來往船隻頻繁，為進出港安全起見於清光緒九年(一八八三年)由海關建造方型磚塔乙座上裝六等單芯定光燈。民國五年由日人著手改建，至民國七年完成新塔為白色八角形磚塔。塔前並建西洋式辦公室乙座，二者結為一體。塔高自基礎起十五點二公尺，上裝三等電燈，每廿秒紅白光各閃一次，光力紅色37,000支燭光，白色94,000支燭光。二次世界大戰時略受損壞，光復後稍加整修即照常放光。民國卅七年換裝燈光為每十七秒紅白光各閃一次，白光九秒，紅光八秒。 民國五十一年增設無線電標桿，輸出電力100瓦特，平均射程100浬，民國七十二年汰換與蘭嶼燈塔無線電標桿合成一組，以便定位。 民國五十三年燈塔改白頓光，每六秒明三秒滅三秒，光力52,000支燭光。民國六十五年換裝新式四等旋轉透鏡電燈，每三十秒連閃白光四次，光力增強為850,000支燭光。 民國七十三年增設雷達標桿，民國八十一年汰換為雙頻道雷達標桿。 民國八十一年元月起應地方要求正式開放供民眾參觀。讓一向列為軍事要塞禁區的旗后山自此掀開了神秘面紗。民眾為先睹為快，爭先恐後連袂不絕，尤其假日人潮如海浪前呼後湧，途為之塞。為此燈塔特闢一展覽室、展示古老燈具及文物供遊客參觀，並介紹現行海關重要業務項目及統計資料。幾年下來到燈塔參觀人數已突破百萬人次。 本燈塔經內政部指定為三級古蹟。 本塔建有宿舍派人駐守。
